LECM was commissioned by Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macau (IACM ) to conduct a two-day calibrate for 9 markets of Macau. A total of 19 electronic public balances free for public was calibrated and awarded qualified certification.

LECM is a non-profit technical and scientific organization for public interests, to provide the technical support of Macau in civil engineering and related sciences. LECM is gradually expanding the scope of services, to participate in the testing and calibrating activities related to people life.

The metrology center of LECM (NMT) to participate in the markets electronic public balances calibration tasks were being accredited internationally in 2000. Besides meeting the requirements of strict environmental control, like temperature and relative humidity, NMT possesses a series of high accuracy equipment, with professional trained staffs. According to the most commonly used international requirements, instrument calibration services of NMT are in the areas of mass, weight, length, force, pressure and temperature. Besides calibrating the testing equipment for various testing center of LECM, NMT also provides equipment calibrate service for the public entities. NMT is increasingly close to our community, which involved in the calibrate industry equipment, such as public balances in markets, airport baggage weight devices, blood pressure monitors and thermometers..

Through this cooperation with IACM, LECM and IACM established good communication and cooperation mechanisms. LECM is expecting to participate more affairs related to people life with own professional knowledge and skills in the future in the area of metrology and calibration. LECM is also expecting to fulfill more social responsibility and to provide more services to Macau residents.
